The painting "Church Visitors in a Boat" was completed in 1909 by the Swedish painter Carl Wilhelm Wilhelmson. The artist was born on November 12, 1866 in Fiskebäckskil near Gothenburg and died on September 24, 1928 in Gothenburg. He led his own art college in the course of his life, but was also a professor at the Royal Academy of Art in Stockholm. His work "Church Visitors in a Boat" shows people who have taken their seats in a rowboat and maneuvered by a man across the water in an apparent port city. Striking to the picture are the seals on the water surface. These are extremely detailed and look very realistic. Right next to the boat you can see two more rowboats with people sitting in it and a steering captain. Looking at the background, one can admire in the distance the sails of other boats, as well as a multitude of red roofs.
