She is "Refugio", my new creation. Refugio is a word coming from the Latin "Refugium", which means protected place, shelter, "safe place" or "place of salvation". My Refugio is creative, she is intelligent and romantic, she is very independent and has a great capacity to assume changes, without fear or apprehension. The planet Uranus is her protector, she helps her, and it symbolises freedom and at the same time individuality, it is related to social and humanitarian aspects. Uranus symbolises revolution, sudden changes. It generates the desire to create something. It is the need to change the established, to innovate. Refugio likes change, to be connected with nature and offers asylum to the inhabitants of the forest. So she is a symbol of support and comfort, conveying the idea of being a "place" or "state" or "person" to whom someone can turn to for protection. She maintains an active connection with the environment, and the inhabitants of the forest thank her for it. "Refuge" has its origins in ancient Rome and has maintained its meaning of protection and security throughout history. As far as Latin culture is concerned, it is linked to strength and shelter in difficult times, in Hispanic culture it takes on a spiritual and religious dimension.
