Pierre Auguste Renoir is one of the most important French Impressionists. The painter is known not only for his atmospheric landscapes, but also for his portraits and figural representations. These are characterized by a lively freshness and naturalness and look very cheerful. The "reading girl" is no exception to this, for she is happily engrossed in her book and seems to enjoy what she reads. The picture immediately casts a spell over the observer: the gaze falls directly on the sensual face of the person portrayed, which changes in delicate orange and rose tones. The clothes and the book cover are held in a night blue and contrast with the light skin and blond hair of the young woman. In 1876, the original work was created, which is exhibited today in the Musée d'Orsay. Thanks to the calm and peaceful charisma, the art print is an enrichment for any reading and living room.
