At first glance, the observer expects a naturally grown labyrinth in the painting "Almond Blossom" by Vincent van Gogh. In his portrayal, however, the painter goes beyond the realistic representation of the brief moment of flowering. Space and movement are united in a true timelapse of beginning, bloom and transience. Gnarled branches or light inflorescences - van Gogh masterfully meets the core of life from its context from the beginning to the end.
