| Even if it is not exactly the largest in terms of its dimensions, the designers of the Karla painting frame managed to make it particularly striking. The reason is the black color with a lattice structure, which is presented in the frame series Hemma III on Karla. A strong, slightly silky matt black was placed on the real wood bar, which is 31 mm wide and 23 mm high. The shape of the wood is kept very simple, this is a rectangle that was designed as a picture frame. In contrast to this simplicity, a structure was placed on black, which was chosen in the form of a grid. Both transverse and longitudinal bars have been positioned in a very unconventional manner, sometimes closer together, sometimes with a greater distance. They also sometimes appear in wave form, so that on the whole a grid that is painted by hand shows itself to the viewer. In addition, the grille seems to be punched into the wood, so that the gaps here stand out from the frame and result in a wonderful look and feel. Gray lines, which were installed here and there parallel to the frame, serve to further loosen up. |
