| The processing of the Merle painting frame shows what specific accents and effects can make in the professional design of a frame. The makers had a total area of 43x25 mm available to let their imagination run wild. Since Merle belongs to the Andover 2 picture frame series, the prerequisite for the design was a simple shape. All frames in this series only need two different wooden strips, a wide main part in the upper area and the associated narrow double strip inside the frame. The designers at Merle finally brought their creative ideas into play on these two wooden elements.
