What Do the Individual Quality Classifications Mean?

Even though we always hold ourselves to the highest quality standards, the quality of a print can slightly deviate depending on the original, your selected print medium as well as other factors. That is why we integrated a calculator into the order process that shows how your selected parameters could influence the print result. However, since words like "perfect", "good", "adequate" or "inadequate" are always a bit subjective, here is an overview of what the individual quality classifications mean:

Perfect: Granted, this quality classification is pretty self-explanatory, because "perfect" indeed means that there is basically no discernible difference to the original. Unless you happened to be an expert in painting and art history, you probably wouldn't even notice that it is a print.

Very good:There are hardly any discernible differences compared to the original. Basically, only art enthusiasts with extremely narrow rooms have to worry that the picture could look worse than one with the quality grade "perfect" because minor deviations are only really noticeable from distances closer than 15cm. If you're standing 30cm or more away from the picture, then you won't be able to see a difference.

Good: Without direct comparison, the quality of the print is still more than satisfactory. For distances of 15cm or less, you can see slight fuzziness. There may be small deviations for details that are smaller than 5mm. From viewing distances of 70cm or more, there are no discernible differences to the original or the quality grade "perfect".

Adequate: For watercolor paintings or impressionist works that basically don't have any sharp edges, the result is still satisfactory even in this quality grade. However, in case of paintings without soft transitions and with sharp edges, we would advise against making the order without first contacting our customer service. If you contact us, we will try to find a satisfactory solution for your problem.

Low: If the calculator actually reaches this unpleasant verdict, then please contact us because this print would not comply with the standards we are holding ourselves to. We will then try everything in our power to find the means and ways to optimize the result of the print. We would ask you to contact us in these cases to avoid any disappointments on your side.
