The original 2.70 m high format is so monumental that it did not completely fit into the artist's studio - part of the canvas hung on the wall, the other lay flat on the floor. The two parts are easy to differentiate: a horizon of drops of paint divides them horizontally in the lower third, blobs and even footprints can be seen in the lower part. From the upper part grow three male figures in back view, who are peacefully devoted to each other. In a virtuoso manner, gestural brush strokes enter into a symbiosis with the finest formulations, anatomical precision meets untamed wildness and abstract ornamentation.
